Tower Crane Removal at Hounslow

Date added: 08 Feb 2019

On Saturday the 12th January, the first tower crane was removed from our Hounslow site.

As part of this process the works commenced on site at 6am and finished at 9pm.

Due to the restriction of being not allowed to work on Sunday, all the works need needed to be completed in one day.

Works were monitored by the CAA (Heathrow Airport) to ensure no problems or possible issues with local aircrafts.

The scheme for Meyer Homes comprises the construction nearly 300 residential units comprising; 14nr town houses, 9nr blocks containing 1 bed, 2 bed, 3 bed and duplex accommodation in various configurations. The front 5nr blocks encircle a podium which provides communal space at 2nd floor level and covers a retail unit, service yard, plant rooms and various other 'back of house' areas. The rear 4nr blocks overlook a separate communal landscaped area.

This former commercial site will be transformed into a residential neighbourhood with homes, local shops and a network of streets creating a new pedestrian route to Hounslow East underground station.

The works are progressing well, and we currently have over 300 people on site daily.
